Cerebellar stimulation–a special exercise program to train cognitive functions of the brain and normalize the mental, physical and emotional functions of the child.
Purpose of cerebellar stimulation–teach the child’s brain to process information correctly, improve speech, writing, reading, concentration and mathematical abilities, memory and perception.
Due to the effect on the function of balance and static physical activity (muscles during the task tense), the whole body of the child is strengthened: posture, coordination of movements, balance and self-regulation functions. The ability to control the position of your body in space is the foundation for mastering all types of educational activities. Speech–The process is very complex, in which all parts of the brain are involved. If an interaction or function is disrupted, the child does not speak or speak poorly.
Parents think that the child is clumsy, unstable, restless, he has impaired coordination of movements, and they attribute this to his physical condition or individual characteristics. The reason for these features–in violation of the brain stem and cerebellum.
These same causes, including, underlie the delay of speech and mental development, autism spectrum diseases (early childhood autism (RDA), Asperger's syndrome, autistic conditions), behavioral and attentional disorders, ADHD.
Most often, parents come with complaints that the child does not learn well, does not absorb material, cannot concentrate and is often distracted at home, in classes and extracurricular activities. It is not his fault, nor is it his parents’ fault.
Who is shown the procedure of cerebellar stimulation?
Cerebellar stimulation–This is not just an exercise on one simulator, it is an exercise program that can include the use of different equipment:
During classes, the instructor gradually complicates the training process, and depending on the goals of each patient, complements the training process with speech tasks (calls words), motor tasks (throws a ball) or intellectual (remembers animals by a certain letter). Due to the fact that almost all the receptors of the brain are used, he«switch on»!
In order for the classes to be successful, it is recommended that they be regular 3-4 times a week. Class duration is 30 minutes. Minimum age–3-4 years, training on the simulator«Stabiloplatform»- 5-6 years old.
