Basic rules of preparation
In order for the spermogram to give reliable data, it is necessary to adhere to simple rules:
- For 3 days before the delivery of the material, you need to minimize the impact of negative moments, such as stress, excessive physical exertion, smoking, eating fatty foods and alcohol, do not take a hot bath and shower, a bath and sauna are strictly prohibited.
- Sexual abstinence is recommended for no more than 4 days before the test. If abstinence is longer, it can distort the results.
- It is not recommended to take nutraceuticals, as well as other drugs, vitamins and dietary supplements. If medications are taken for chronic diseases or for life reasons, preliminary consultation with a doctor is required.
With exacerbation of chronic diseases, inflammatory processes and infections, including acute respiratory infections, SARS and common colds, spermogram delivery is prohibited. The material is allowed to take no earlier than 2 weeks after the stabilization of the state of health.
Features of spermogram delivery
To pass the analysis, a special room is equipped in the clinic, where a man should feel as relaxed and comfortable as possible. Sperm is obtained by masturbation and is collected in a specially issued container, without violating its sterility.
