Lyakhova Natalya Evgenevna
Experience
28 лет

Specialization and professional skills:

In my practice, I rely on the principles of evidence-based medicine and common sense. Physician of Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine, or briefly Physician of the FRM—This is a medical specialist who helps restore lost body functions and improve the quality of life of patients. It develops an individualized program of medical rehabilitation or habilitation for patients, taking into account their diagnosis, physical and psychological state.

In my work, I use modern methods: physical therapy, massage, physiotherapy, technical means of rehabilitation, support the patient on the entire recovery path: I motivate, explain, help overcome fear and uncertainty.

I specialize in specific areas:

  1. Neurorehabilitation - I work with patients who have suffered acute cerebral circulation disorders, traumatic brain injuries, degenerative diseases of the nervous system.
  2. Orthopedic rehabilitation - patients after injuries, operations on the musculoskeletal system, with chronic diseases of the joints and bones.
  3. Pulmonological rehabilitation - improving the function of the respiratory system in patients with acute and chronic respiratory diseases.
  4. Early rehabilitation of children of the first year of life - habilitation of children with the consequences of perinatal pathology, including perinatal damage to the central nervous system.

Regardless of the direction, the FRM doctor conducts:

  1. Diagnosing the patient. Examines and conducts tests to assess abnormalities in the patient's condition that lead to disability. Based on this, determine the degree of violations and make a list of problems.—That is, it establishes a rehabilitation diagnosis.
  2. Developing a rehabilitation plan. This takes into account the characteristics of each patient. For example, a baby with cerebral palsy (CP) needs help learning to sit and crawl. And an adult after a stroke.—restore fine motor skills so that he can continue working. The rehabilitation plan includes stages, methods and terms of rehabilitation. All procedures must follow a strict schedule and in the right sequence.—Otherwise, there will be no progress.
  3. Controls and adjusts the process. In the absence of progress or complaints, it understands the causes and adjusts tactics. For example, it replaces an exercise that causes the patient joint pain.
  4. Psychologically supportive. Helps the patient cope with fear or insecurity. It notes even small successes and turns them into a powerful incentive to continue studying.
  5. Teaching and advising. Explains to the patient and relatives the technique of exercise, tells how to change lifestyle to bring recovery closer. It helps to find special equipment that can be installed at home.—For example, handrails to the bathtub to make it easier for the patient to take a shower.
  6. Keeps records. Fills out the medical card, makes reports on the procedures and condition of the patient. Reference

Patient recovery—It's a complex process. Therefore, a physical and rehabilitation medicine doctor often works in a multidisciplinary rehabilitation team with other specialists, but coordinates the process.

    The team consists of:

    LFC instructor—conducts physical therapy classes.

Massageist—It works with muscles and joints.

Physiotherapist—uses methods of magnetotherapy, laser therapy, ultrasound therapy, balneo- and water treatment.

Ergotherapist—helps to restore household skills: dressing, cooking, personal hygiene.

    Speech therapist—He speaks and swallows.

Psychotherapist—Works with anxiety, fear and motivation.

Social worker—engaged in social and household services for seriously ill, elderly citizens and disabled people.

The Physician of Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine unites the efforts of these specialists with the help of a single recovery system. He makes sure that all methods complement each other and lead to a common goal.—Returning the patient to a full life.
