Try to talk as often as possible. Ask your child about their experiences, pay attention to curious little things around you and name them out loud.
Remember that you are a role model. Children involuntarily copy their parents’ speech, so watch the clarity of your own wording.
If your son or daughter is going to the countryside or to relatives, pass the working materials (speech notebook, poem texts) on to the adults and briefly explain what these tasks are for.
Never force. The key to success is genuine interest. As soon as you notice that the child is tired or distracted, take a break.
Praise even the smallest achievements. Create an atmosphere in which the child is not afraid to make a mistake and feels at ease.
And most importantly — don’t aim for a strict lesson. Use any free minute: on the way to the park, on public transport or before bed. Then the holidays will be joyful, and speech rich and expressive.
