The vagus nerve is one of the largest nerves in the human body. It emerges directly from the skull and controls the functioning of the heart, lungs, and the entire gastrointestinal tract.
Its main task is recovery. It is responsible for ensuring that after stress, the body returns to a state of rest: it triggers digestion, slows the pulse, and prepares for sleep.
When the vagus nerve is compressed or malfunctions, the body cannot recover. A person sleeps enough and rests, but wakes up feeling drained in the morning. Anxiety does not go away, and the feeling of fatigue becomes chronic.
And pills will not help here, because the problem is not in a separate organ, but in the functioning of the entire nervous system.
Do not try to treat an individual symptom, but look for the cause in the state of the nervous system. Breathing techniques, gentle physical exercises, working with the neck and diaphragm — these are what can truly help the vagus nerve return to normal functioning.
